My City, My Responsibility

Join the movement. Take Responsibility. Change your city.

OUR PLAN FOR SUMMER CAMP THIS YEAR

All weeks of camp in June have been officially postponed and moved to July. No later than June 4, we will make a decision about our on-site physical camps to allow for any final schedule adjustments that need to be made.

When will camp happen in July?

The official dates for camps are now:

July 6-10, 2020

July 13-17, 2020

Additional camp dates will be evaluated and added if needed.

Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt has established a Phase 1-3 reopening plan for our state. If it remains on schedule, Phase 3 begins June 1st, and summer camps will be permitted to meet after that date. We will continue to monitor and follow state and federal guidelines.

How can I register for these weeks?

Any church that is already registered can reserve their spots in the July weeks right now. If you would like to move your church to one of these weeks, fill out this form to let us know.

What will the cost of registration be if we are able to attend camp in July?

Registration cost for any new attendees will be $249 for on-site and $169 for off-site. If your group has secured an earlier rate that ticket price will be honored.

What do I need to do if my church is already registered for a week in July?

If your church is registered for a week in July you can continue to plan on attending that week. We also encourage you to go ahead and get signed up to stay in the know on Leader’s Sessions in June. Any leaders who have or will put down a $50 deposit will be able to access the online Leader’s Sessions. The Leader’s Sessions can also be purchased for $50 separately.

OUR PLAN FOR THE ENTIRE SUMMER

Regardless of if our on-site summer camps happen or not, we have a number of other summer options available and you can participate in all of them. The beautiful thing about what we have planned is that it’s able to be utilized by any and every church, leader, and student no matter what level you are able to participate.

MY CITY, MY RESPONSIBILITY

“My City, My Responsibility” is a summer-long movement starting on June 1 that will feature over 100 hours of live & on-demand content, 30+ speakers, a week-long experience for you and your students, and a summer-long plan for your student ministry.

Leader’s Sessions (June) and Online Experiences (July) will occur, and The Summer Long Plan and Local Event Package will be available, regardless of whether our onsite physical camps take place.

A SUMMER LONG PLAN FOR YOUR STUDENT MINISTRY

This summer you have an opportunity to disciple and commission students to take responsibility for and change their world There are a lot of things you have to do, but the most important responsibility you have is to lead, love and reach your students. We’ve planned out your whole summer so that you can spend more time on your most important responsibilities.

LEADERS SESSIONS (June 2-25)

4 weeks of leadership training every Tuesday and Thursday “live” during the noon hour (CST) or on-demand viewing with 10+ hours of content and 15+ speakers. Topics will include everything from leadership, ministry strategy, mental health, social media, and a whole lot more. We will also be doing weekly giveaways and creating an online community that will allow you to better connect with other leaders as well as your team.

ONLINE EXPERIENCE (July 6-10 & 13-17)

4 nights and 5 days of programming that follow our typical camp schedule. It will include guest speakers, worship, activities, competitions, breakout workshops, small groups, leadership training with live Q&A time, and more. On top of that we are adding entertainment, giveaways, daily serving challenges, training courses, and discipleship content.

LOCAL EVENT PACKAGE

We want to help you host an event in your city!

We believe that many churches will be able to meet at some level in July and so we’re creating an event package that will provide you with as many resources and ideas as possible to put on an event in your city. This will give churches the flexibility to rally students no matter what your city or state’s current situation is. We will be releasing more details through May and would love to start collaborating with you on ideas so you can start planning your event.

What are all of these things going to cost?

For any church that has already registered for on-site summer camp, the cost of leader’s sessions and the online experience is $50 per attendee. This is an exclusive rate.

For any new registrations the cost of leader’s sessions and the online experience will start at $59 per attendee.

The summer-long plan for student ministry will be included in each church’s registration.

The local event package will be built out further and more details (including pricing) will be released in the month of May.

NEXT STEPS FOR REGISTERED CHURCHES

IF YOU WILL BE ATTENDING ON-SITE SUMMER CAMP

STEP 1 - Reserve your spot in one of our on-site weeks.

Any church that is already registered can reserve their spots in the July weeks right now. If you would like to move your church to one of these weeks, fill out this form to let us know.

STEP 2 - Plan to pay any remaining ticket balances

Registration cost for any new attendees will be $249 for on-site and $169 for off-site. If your group has secured an earlier rate that ticket price will be honored.

We are postponing all payment deadlines for our physical camps until June 4. The official final camp dates and plans will be confirmed by that date.

STEP 3 - Sign up to Stay in the Know on Leader’s Sessions and our Online Experience

If our on-site physical camps have to be canceled, you will want to transfer all of your registrations to our Online Experience for you and your students to enjoy. Head over to mycitymyresponsibility.com for more information.

STEP 4 - Make a decision about where to apply funds already paid to Youth America

Your non-refundable $50 deposits and additional balances can be transferred to the June Leader’s Sessions, July Online Experience, or to the July On-Site Summer Camps.

If you have leftover funds already paid into Youth America, we would ask you to prayerfully consider “sowing” these remaining funds into our ministry. Of course, we know many of these funds may be payments made from individuals within your group and could be up to each individual. This financial support will help Youth America to provide resources, content, and experiences all summer long for churches across the nation. Camp is the major financial foundation that keeps Youth America going, and beyond that we believe that this summer we will be able to help thousands of churches reach even more students for the Cause of Christ.

Unapplied camp payments that exceed the deposits can also be credited towards summer camp next year if that is your preference.

Any refunds needed would follow our normal protocol of sending us a request by email. Refunds would be completed by the end of the summer.

IF YOU WILL NOT BE ATTENDING ON-SITE SUMMER CAMP

If you are unable to, or if your church has already decided not to attend camp your next steps are:

STEP 1 - Let us know by emailing [email protected]

We want to make sure you get taken care of! We know that, for a variety of reasons, you may not be able to make it to on-site summer camp this year.

Take a second and let us know by emailing us at [email protected].

STEP 2 - Sign up to Stay in the Know on Leader’s Sessions and our Online Experience

If you already know you will be unable to attend our July camps onsite, go ahead and transfer all of your registrations to our Online Experience now.

Begin communicating the vision and revised plans to your parents and students about July. If leaders sign up for the June Leaders Sessions, they will also receive access to Online Experience in July and vice versa. Head over to mycitymyresponsibility.com for more information.

THANK YOU

Thank you for your patience as we continue to pull together and create everything for this summer. Our team still has a lot of work to do and will continue to release details and information day to day. We also want to encourage you not to hesitate in reaching out with ideas, thoughts, feedback, and concerns. This summer is going to take everyone of you to make this happen and we are beyond grateful for your support and help. We truly believe we will see more students reached this summer beyond a normal camp setting in your cities, communities, and churches. NOTHING, not even the gates of hell, can stop the Church.
